Welcome to my April Holiday!

Here is a list of holidays in April that I celebrate.

• April 1: April Fool's Day
• First Sunday of April: Daylight Savings Time begins (Spring forward ...)
• April 22: Earth Day; although this is not the official Earth Day, this is when it is usually celebrated

The word "April" is derived from the Latin word 'aprilis' which means to open, as in the opening of leaves and buds. The gem for April is diamond (for brilliance and love) and the flower is sweet pea (for good fortune).

April is such a pretty month, I think. Spring is coming into full power. The daylight hours are getting longer. All of nature is happy.

Solinus, Guardian of the Day, has joined us to celebrate April.

I originally had all of my Easter adoptions here in April, but I have moved them into March. I do have a couple of April Fool's adoption! Although I do not always play pranks on April Fool's, I have done so and love them!

There is more sunshine, as the daylight hours grow. So I have a smiley sun here for all the April inhabitants.

Often we associate April with the time of newborn animals. So, I have some faery kittens joining us here.

I brought along a few dusting faeries to keep everyone busy while we are awaiting some new arrivals.
