Welcome to my August Holiday!

Some people might think that as months go, August is kind of boring. There are no mainstream holidays celebrated in this country during August.

Here is a list of holidays in August that I celebrate.

August 1: Lughnasadh or Lammas

The word "August" is derived from Augustus, a Roman emporer who named the month in honor of himself. The gem for August is peridot (for happiness and friendship) and the flower is poppy (for fame).

Lughnasadh signals the end of summer and beginning of autumn; it is when the first fruits of harvest become available. Late August finds many children and young people returning to school.

Persephone is the Guardian of growth and is fitting to be the protectress for August.

I actually do not have a lot of faeries adopted for August. I did adopt one Limited Edition Summertime Fae. Her name is, well, Summer.

Since there were no holidays to celebrate throughout the month, I spent the time playing around The Site Fights. Got in some contests, won some awards, exchanged gifts with people, and helped celebrate some birthdays.

One day, I found this message in my mail box, with the plaque attached. Thanks D'Tsuki! I never got released!! Guess I didn't have any friends that day lol.
