Welcome to my January Holidays
Here is a list of holidays in January that I celebrate.
- Jan 1: New Year's Day
- Third Monday of January : Martin Luther King Day
The word "January" is derived from Janus, Roman god of doors and gateways. The gem for January is garnet (for loyalty and strength) and the flower is snowdrop (for good health).
It's always nice to start off a brand new year, with new beginnings. You never know what the year will hold in store and for the most part I find that exciting. Sometimes it is hard to get back into the swing of things after a long holiday break. Sometimes one looks forward to getting back to routine after a long holiday break!
For this month, I have asked Aemilia, The First of the Guardians and a great leader, to watch over the inhabitants.
Here is a happy New Year's couple
In 2000, The Millenium Goddess came to live on this page. As you can see, the world did not end.
Here is a wee little faery
I adopted this beautiful January Angel from the Wandering Fairies
My birthday is not in January, but just to provide company to some of the other faeries, I adopted a birthday faery
I think this little faery is probably one of the first that I ever adopted.
And I do have a few little gifts from friends. As you can see, the faeries are not necessarily lined up in chronological order. What fun would that be?
This faery is from Sweet Angel.
