Welcome to my March Holiday!
Here is a list of holidays in March that I celebrate:
- March 17: St. Patrick's Day
- March 21: Spring (Vernal) Equinox or Ostara; the real Earth Day
- Easter: this is celebrated on the first Full Moon after the Vernal Equinox, usually sometime in March or April
The word "March" is derived from Mars, the Roman god of war. The gem for March is aquamarine (for health and hope) and the flower is daffodil (for loyalty).
I do not really observe St. Patrick's Day anymore and the only manner in which I used to observe it was to wear green. Once in a while I might cook up some corned beef and cabbage. The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of Spring. Easter is derived from the Goddess Oestre which means "to shine." We use the term Ostara in modern times. Both the egg is and the rabbit are potent symbols of fertility, and are appropriate in this season when animals mate and flowers pollinate. In the old days, Ostara was a time to leave sweet treats out for the faeries.
To care for all the eggs gathered during this March holiday season, we have Bijouterie, Guardian of Eggs and the Unborn.
First I am going to introduce you to all of the St. Patrick's faeries living here. We do have 2 rooms devoted to St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Angel Bug used to have the most fun adoption, but sadly she is no longer to be found.

I have quite a few St. Patrick's Day Limted Edition Pixies here.
Here is another wonderful little faery from Krista
And meet Georgina, a beautiful faery from Lady Hipoo
Look at this beautiful faerie from Angel!
This beautiful beautiful elf is from Sunshiney
