Welcome to my May Holiday!

This is most definitely an update over the previous May Holiday page.

Here is a list of holidays in May that I celebrate.

• May 1: Beltaine or May Day
• May 5: Cinco de Mayo
• Second Sunday of May : Mother's Day (US)
• May 30: Memorial Day

The word "May" is derived from Maia, the Greek Goddess of spring. The gem for May is emerald (for peace and hope) and the flower is hawthorne (for courage).

Personally, I have always enjoyed the month of may for many reasons. May is my last name, for one. The first day of May is May Day. May is also usually when school was out (when I was associated with school), and summer is on its way.

I don't have any May Day faerie adoptions, but I did make this silly maypole border to decorate my May Holiday pages. I adopted Adriana, the Guardian of Spring, to watch over this page. She has a spring egg too :)

May is when Mother's Day is celebrated in the U.S. I personally do not celebrate Mother's Day because I am not a mother. This page is in honor of my own mother and for my two sisters, who are mothers.

One other very important thing to remember is Memorial Day. I visited a Vietnam Memorial a few years ago with my husband. He is a Vietnam veteran. Knowing him has really given me a different perspective on war. The Soaring Eagles at The Site Fights made these Memorial Day eaglets and DFreedom Fighters made these awesome flags.

I won this Mother's Day Pixie from The Enchanted Hollow Raffle. Someone had abandoned her.

I adopted this pixie from The Enchanted Hollow. The Enchanted Hollow is still a wonderful place to adopt pixies for all seasons.

I adopted this sweet centaur mother and daughter from Angel's Chimera Dreams. Yes, Angel is still around too and still has beautiful adoptions.

And look at this precious mother faerie and her faerie kids! Sitting on their little faerie mushroom! These came from Angel too.

 

Here are 2 beautiful motherhood fae and their babies. And next, we have some brand new adoptees who have come to live here with us! Look at the adorable Spirit Dumplings! Have you ever seen anything so totally cute??

And we finally have a Cinco de Mayo adoption to help us celebrate that most spectacular holiday!
